| EU Certificates Association Foundation: 45 organisations from 18 different countries have been represented in the foundation conference. This included national training centers, academies of sciences, universities and training organisations who jointly agreed to apply quality rules established by EQN for the certification of job roles. A first pool of 16 professions is currently being set up with test system, defined processes, and certificates recognized by national institutions from 18 countries. |

| Dr Andreas Riel is the integration manager of the Network of Excellence for a Virtual Research Lab for a Knowledge Community in Production. Dr Riel as a key note presented the importance of innovation management and how the EU Certificates based strategy of skills sets, exam portals can be used to structure the knowledge of the network into a knowledge product which can offered based on European standard structures, exams and certificates. He expressed special interest on the Certified EU Innovation manager and outlined that this education could be extedned to the holistic production processes covered by the NoE. To fruitfully extend the collaboration with EQN Dr Riel invited EQN to actively participate at the next stakeholder conference of this large European network, on 29 - 30. March 2007, in Berlin, Germany. |

| Stephan Goericke is the managing director of the International Software Quality Institute (www.isqi.org) which already offers job roles based certificates (SW Architect, SW Tester, Project Manager, etc.) world wide. As a key note Mr Goericke demonstrated how this certification works in practice and outlined that already many thousand have used this process. He especially outlined his interest to use the EQN exam systems to computer automate in the future the exams for the SW Architect, the Project Manager, etc. |

| Prof. Dr Karl Ennsfellner is the dean for e-business and innovation management at the University of Applied Sciences, Krems, Austria. He is also the project director of EQN. He presented the strategy underlying the EQN project and the foundation of an EU Certificates Association. He emphasized how the EU Certificates quality criteria support the EQF (European Qualification Framework). |

| Dr Richard Messnarz is the director of ISCN (www.iscn.com), the chairman of EuroSPI (2007.eurospi.net), and the coordinator of the EQN project. Dr Messnarz outlined the quality criteria which are applied by EU Certificates to accredit training bodies, trainers, and to certify students. |

| Mag. Bruno Woeran is the director of DANUBE (www.danube.or.at) and the coordinator of a mobility network LEO-NET under Leonardo da Vinci. He is a Master of Business Administration and studied in the U.S. Mr Bruno Woeran presented the legal statutes of the EU Certificates Association and presented some examples of the underlying business flows. |

| Different key managers from national institutes from different countries presented example professions which are supported under the EU Certificates Association scheme: This is only a small selection because EU Certificates is supported by about 16 European professions at the moment. |

| Prof. Dr Miklos Biro is a professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest, the editor of an annual Wiley SPIP book in collaboration with EuroSPI, and key researcher and project leader in a number of EU projects. He is the director of the EU project manager development. Dr Biro explained how the test system works and outlined the features necessary to offer a fail save test. |

| Dimitar Tokmakov is an assistant at the Plovdiv University in Bulgaria. This is the second largest university in Bulagaria. It has a success record with EU projects in developing an online task based learning system which is used for a virtual online physics university. The system is also used by open universities e.g. in the Netherlands. Mr. Tokmakov outlined how such systems will be used to establish an online training center for all professions around EU Certificates. |
