| Basics in Software Project Management | |
| Description: The iSQI Certified Project Manager program consists of a number of building blocks. The syllabus for the first building block - the Foundation Level - was compiled in accordance with international project management standards and taking into consideration the work of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) in USA. At the end of 2003 additional building blocks for particular specialisations were added. The iSQI Certified Project Manager - Foundation Level addresses the specific problems of software development projects. For example the procedural models for software development, estimating effort for software projects, iterative incremental planning of software projects and further project management techniques are conveyed. Whilst previous project management experience is not required of the participants of the four-day course, software development experience is nevertheless a prerequisite. The course focuses primarily on project members who have the task of managing a small to medium sized project for the first time. | |
